Our Manor
The Manor Groß Behnkenhagen is located in the city triangle Stralsund, Greifswald and Grimmen. It is situated only about 10 km from the Baltic Sea. Travelers can comfortably reach the Manor arriving by ferry from Sassnitz. Our Manor Groß Behnkenhagen offers 23 lovely furnished apartments, which also offer enough space for families to feel well. Moreover a comfortable Manor Pub and a little store are located on our facilities. In our little store you can buy delicious regional products such as honey or sallow thorn marmalade, tea and wine or the daily newspaper.
The landscape around the Manor is filled with lush green, huge trees and endless fields. Here you can enjoy the beauty of nature and tranquility or even, if you wish, take a plunge into the Baltic Sea since the Manor is only a stone’s throw away. Good food
At the Manor Groß Behnkenhagen you will be spoiled with regional treats and delicacies from grandmother’s secret recipes. Fruity marmalades, ambrosial bread and original Pomeranian apple salad are awaiting you every morning in our music room. In the evenings you can enjoy a cold beer, a light fish soup or a little snack at our pub "Zu den drei Schweinsköpfen". For the self-catering, our bread service will deliver fresh baked goods to your door.
Good Night Sleep
You will also get a good night sleep at the Manor Groß Behnkenhagen. All our apartments are furnished in a rustic country-estate style and offer a lot of space and comfort for your wellbeing. Depending on family size you can chose between a 1 bedroom apartment and a comfort apartment with up to 5 bedrooms. All our living quarters are non-smoking apartments and are equipped with WLAN. Upon request we can provide rooms suitable for people with allergies.
In order for you to be able to really relax and spend time with your loved ones, we deliberately abstained from television in the apartments. However, there are two television sets in our music room and our pub which you are free to use at any time.

Good Entertainment
Sometimes one does not want to lay at the beach and sunbath all the time during a holiday – however, this also is an alternative here. The latest tests in May/June 2008 have proven that it is completely safe to enjoy the water of the Baltic – the water quality of the Baltic Sea is highly appropriate to swim! So, pack your bathing shorts and enjoy a swift of good ocean air. For those who prefer something more sportive – sailing, surfing, swimming or fishing – there are plenty opportunities for aquatic sports, since we are located at the Baltic Sea.
The landscape around the Manor is formed by seemingly endless plains. It should then come as no surprise that these are the best conditions for golfers. In closest proximity to the Manor you can reach the Golfpark Strelasund (12km), which has been created by the renowned gold designer David J. Krause. Why don’t you discover the beauty and nature of our region on two wheels? Wide plains with meadows and forests guarantee a relaxed bike experience and are perfectly suitable for a family outing.
Are you traveling with children? There won’t be any boredom here, because on the Manor grounds and in the proximity there is a lot do experience for the little rascals: a playground, horse carriage rides (minimum groups of 12 persons), bike rentals upon request, grilling, a little ball field, a trampoline for old and young, bocce, etc.
In our region nature and culture harmoniously complement each other. Impressive natural spectacles, surprising animal worlds or the visit of cultural benchmarks – you are guaranteed a diversified program at the Baltic Sea.
